I am a mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend and of course, coach. I have learned through experience that you can have anything you want in life and it all begins with a choice.
How I got here
In 2002 I was pretty successful in the corporate world. I was on the “fast track” to success, so I was told. I was going through the motions but felt something was missing. I wanted to live life on my terms. I can be stubborn like that.
After researching options, I obtained my Real Estate license in 2002. Wow, what a difference! I was 100% responsible for my success and/or failure. While it was exciting to be I control, it was also terrifying. Things were going pretty well, I had no complaints. Then, I heard the words, “You’re pregnant.” Ok then, here comes another transition. The good news is I love change!
I was not prepared for what came next. A very difficult pregnancy tested me. Then, some major complications when my son was born kept me in the hospital for a month. It was touch and go for a while. I remember hearing the doctors say, “If something doesn’t change overnight, there isn’t anything else we can do”. I heard the words, clear as day. The crazy thing, I was ok with it. Or, had I given up?
Some time during that night, I made the choice to fight. I wasn’t ready to go. My son needed me. He deserved a mom! I’ve never been one to give up and wasn’t about to start now. I remember closing my eyes and praying, begging and visualizing myself living. The next morning, the doctors told us my “numbers” were up and I was on my way to recovery. My journey began that day, thanks to a simple choice and a full on commitment. I faced more challenges in the next few months. There was pain, depression and the feeling of uselessness. I was so angry and slipped into victim mode. Time passed and some amazing people in my life helped me back on my feet both physically and mentally.
After 6 months of recovery, I was ready to go back to work, but I also wanted to be home with Noah. How in the world can I have the best of both worlds? It was recommended to me by a fellow Realtor and friend that I hire a coach. I had no idea what a coach did, but I hired one. While working with a couple coaches, my views of the world, success and possibilities changed. I knew, after experiencing coaching and the success it brought to my life, I was meant to be a Coach myself. I needed to impact others the way I was impacted. I enrolled in a training program and began honing my skills. I finally felt I was in my zone of genius. I obtained a certification in professional coaching and started reaching out to people. I LOVE my world now and everyone in it. My clients are a gift and I give them my all, every time we talk.
My vision is to help others realize their goals and live lives they love. My mission is to change lives, one conversation at a time.
I believe
-
You are capable of anything when you commit yourself to it.
-
Your authentic self is your best self.
-
The mind, body and spirit need daily exercise and are equally important.
-
I can only take people as deep as I am willing to go myself. Therefore, I am ALL IN in everything I do.
- People who practice gratitude daily are happier than those who don’t.
- Life is a beautiful gift that is meant to be lived to the fullest. How you do that is up to you.
On a personal note
I married my amazing and supportive husband Jeremy in 2000. My son Noah was born in 2004 and is the most genuine and beautiful person I have ever known. I love to volunteer at Noah’s school and his extracurricular activities. I also enjoy taking family vacations, spending time with friends and I cherish the time I have for myself. Our favorite vacation spots include the beaches of San Diego and Hawaii, and our regular trips to Disneyland. I workout 5-6 times a week and LOVE how it makes me feel. When I have “me” time, I generally will read or scrapbook. In order to have time for all these activities, balance is a necessity. I know this can be done, I live it every day.
